Succulents for Hire is an eco-friendly floral company featuring drought-tolerant succulents as the main attraction. Although we’re based in the San Francisco Bay Area, we offer full-service wedding floral to the whole state of California and western Nevada. We also ship personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, fascinators, crowns, living jewelry, and more) all over the country through our online store.

Succulents make the perfect wedding flowers for eco-conscious brides looking for something uniquely beautiful. These perfect plants stay perky in the heat of a summer wedding and keep their shape under just about any weather condition.

The best part? They stay alive long after the party is over.

They’re also the best bang for your wedding buck. Unlike cut flowers, succulents live on after your big day. You can replant them either in a pot or directly into the ground. They’ll serve as your starter garden with your partner and be a lasting reminder of your special day for years to come. We offer custom bouquet replanting services for local brides. Ask us about it!

We pride ourselves on unique designs that fit just about any wedding aesthetic you can imagine. Incorporating cut flowers, greenery, berries, grasses, and other natural elements alongside our succulents allows us to find the most creative and beautiful ways to exceed your expectations.

How I cater to Offbeat Brides

Succulents for Hire’s mission is to create the perfect wedding atmosphere for every couple we work with. Whether you’re going for a more traditional romantic look, boho chic, rockabilly, rustic, or neon rainbow, we will work with you to make your wedding dreams a reality. Our business is LGBTQI-friendly, eco-friendly, sustainable, and unconventional.

We want you to LOVE what we make for you, and we’ll bend over backwards to make it happen.

Every piece we create is the result of a collaboration between us and you. You have the option to give us as much or as little direction as you like. We love getting vision boards and inspo images just as much as we love taking the reins from the brides who “want to be surprised.” (We’ve worked with brides like these a bunch!)

Every new wedding is a new adventure, and we are so excited to go on your adventure with you! Please reach out to us for our most up to date price sheet and to get the conversation going about your big day!

"Our underlying theme was minimal-waste / as environmentally-friendly as possible. Toni is amazing, friendly, responsive, creative, just everything you want in a florist! We chatted and she gathered what I was envisioning and turned it into a beautiful floral and succulent-lush wedding! We could not have been happier with her work!"

Examples of my work

Beth and Dan did a camping wedding on Halloween weekend at Camp Navarro. They had a costume-required rehearsal dinner, and we created succulent-topped pumpkins as centerpieces and party favors. This bride was particularly concerned with reducing waste, and her centerpieces were 100% compostable (but only after they served as fall decor for the whole season after the wedding! (See our feature here on Offbeat Bride.)

Gina and Scott got married among the redwoods at Deer Park Villa in Fairfax, CA. Their wedding was dreamy and romantic, and Gina requested that we add a gold touch to as many elements as possible. We painted gold tips onto a number of the succulents we featured in her pieces as well as placing gold mercury glass votives on every table. She and her guests swooned!

Shannon and Alex gave us a ton of creative freedom for their personal flowers and ceremony decor. We created copper floral hoops for the bridesmaids instead of bouquets, and they doubled as decor after the ceremony. This vegan couple was especially interested in the eco-friendly aspect of our offerings.

Cassie and Vincent got married at Scripps College with a goal of zero waste. She loved Shannon’s floral hoops and opted for a similar idea using grapevine instead. Her aisle decor featured one of our favorite creations: heart-shaped grapevine wreaths adorned with beautiful succulents and floral to hang on the chairs.

Jay and Rich got married in Oakland at the tail-end of the big fires of 2018. They opted to keep the festivities outside and made the best of the air quality situation by donning masks that said “Mr.” and “Mrs.” in some of their photos. Jay wore a black, flowy dress covered in multi-colored embroidered flowers and looked stunningly gorgeous. Rich wore a custom-made purple floral-patterned suit jacket and a black bowtie. We went with purple everything for this wedding, which lent itself perfectly to succulents.
