OffbeatBrideYour wedding, party, or special event deserves individual attention from a professional caterer who is going to be involved every step of the way. From the initial contact, to the tasting, to the day of the event itself, Rochelle will personally supervise all of the details. Not a faceless corporation, but the personal service you deserve.

Rochelle is committed to using local, sustainable agriculture in her catering and her cooking classes. She has established relationships with many farms in the area, and works diligently to use fresh, seasonal produce and organic vegetables and dairy in all of her recipes. Plus, everything she makes is elegant and handcrafted from scratch.

Our catering philosophy is very much in line with the Offbeat Bride clientele. Rochelle never simply repeats menus; she is not interested in providing a cookie-cutter, industrial experience, but instead wants to ensure that your event is unique and special. Each event should reflect the host's distinctive taste, to present a personal touch that your guests will be talking about for years to come. While we have some sample menu ideas to help inspire you, She will work with you to craft a personal menu, an original experience, and long-lasting memories. This limits the number of events that Rochelle can schedule. However, Rochelle is not interested in being the largest caterer in the area; simply the best.

While Rochelle Myers Catering is new to Offbeat Bride, we are an established company in the area, in business for many years. See our five-star reviews on Wedding Wire, Yelp, The Know or Google. And of course there's much more information on our web site!

How I cater to Offbeat Brides

At Rochelle Myers Catering, we specialize in the unusual and the different. Everything starts with our food, of course. We do not have set menus, we make everything from scratch based upon the unique desires of each couple.

Over the past few years we've done such offbeat ideas as a Make-Your-Own-Smores Bar (no Hershey's chocolate, of course!), a Beignet Bar fried to order, a Lemonade Bar with organic herbal syrups, Yeast-Raised Waffles with unusual toppings, a Sno-Cone machine with homemade syrups, and more! We've catered at many gay and lesbian weddings, as well as non-traditional events. We've also fed people at museums, backyards, and in the middle of a cow field! Whatever your interest, we can help to make your special event a hit!

Examples of my work

We catered a wedding for a couple on the bride's parents' farm. The bride's family raises cattle, and they raised the beef for the menu — ground sirloin for sliders as an appetizer, and rib-eyes for the main meal which we grilled and topped with an organic basil-tarragon butter. We set up two grills on site and cooked all the meats for the 225 hungry guests. The guests loved the delicious beef and the aroma of hardwood charcoal floating over the farm property, although some of the cows decided to stare down Rochelle as she cooked the steaks.

One offbeat wedding we catered: a union between a bride from Louisiana and a groom from Fiji. The couple met when the bride was a member of the Peace Corps who was stationed in Fiji. We prepared a Cajun-style buffet with jambalaya, etouffee, and Cajun chicken with tasso gravy. The groom's family dug a pit and we cooked all sorts of Fijian cuisine, including fish and a dish of greens with corned beef and coconut milk–they served these items on a separate buffet. Everybody enjoyed French pastries and New Orleans pralines for dessert.
