I remember my older cousins using these in a different way…smaller hoops were a big thing in the late 70’s – they were often covered in white satin, & touted as a way to carry your train around during the reception, instead of dragging it on the floor (before bustling them became the next go-to solution).

  2. I had a hoop when I was a bridesmaid in the 90s (I was about eight?). Wonder if there’s a good way to incorporate this with a bead bouquet to make a cascade of sparkles; could use it as a wall hanging afterwards.
