What makes the Rose of Sharon unique? Well, I'm both creative and organized… a creative list-maker!

Two things set us apart from other florists. First, I'm both artistic and organized. (If I weren't a floral designer, I'd probably be a professional organizer.) This means my estimates are detailed and accurate, my replies are timely and delivery is never late. If a client needs details to feel comfortable with her vendors, we are a perfect fit!

Second, we offer an incredible level of service. It's our job to make each wedding LESS stressful, not more. If that means we answer 100 emails from the bride, we do so. If that means we help other vendors with their set-up at the wedding, we do so. Our general delivery service starts with two hours of "whatever is needed." Usually that means setting up arrangements, pinning boutonnieres and corsages, and making sure the bride is happy with each item. But, we're always happy to do extra if needed to make the day easier on the bridal party.

"Rose of Sharon did an amazing job at our wedding! They were so organized and I didn't have to worry about anything. Very professional and customer oriented. I would highly recommend them for your wedding or event."

How I cater to Offbeat Brides

Our favorite requests are for "something different." We'll bring the organization needed to make your unusual requests possible.

We work with brides of all types and all socio-economic levels. If a bride wants to have a DIY wedding, we offer the materials needed… from flowers to design classes. If she wants to have a partial DIY wedding, we work with her to make sure everything coordinates. If a bride wants us to do it all, we will create everything from the bride's bouquet to centerpieces and everything in between.

My philosophy about weddings is that every bride is special — no matter what size budget she may have. Any flower can be beautiful… if the design is good. And everyone deserves to experience the beauty of flowers on their wedding day!

By planning our designs and sharing the information with each client, we offer a feeling of confidence. Our goal is to create each event based on the priorities to each specific client. If our client is concerned with budget, we'll focus on creating beautiful designs within the requested budget. If our client needs creative ideas to fit a color scheme or theme, we'll make suggestions that set the event mood. If our client doesn't know where to start, we'll guide them through the process with suggestions and choices. If our client wants to do some of the design themselves, we'll work with them to make sure the overall look is cohesive.

A client's ideas, desires, and needs are as important to our creating process as our own are.

Examples of my work

  • This bouquet was created for my sister. She's a graphic designer and artist. She's also quite tall. For her quirky style and artistic personality, we designed this Peacock Crescent bouquet. The long tail reached to mid-calf; which highlighted the beauty of the peacock feathers as well as the bride's custom designed non-traditional dress.
  • This bride didn't want to carry a traditional bouquet, but still wanted to incorporate flowers. We designed this trailing bouquet of light blue Delphinium tied with a chocolate brown satin ribbon for her summer wedding.
  • This bride was 'more mature' as she put it. She wasn't a blushing twenty-something bride, but it was her first marriage. For her intimate ceremony, we designed this nosegay of miniature Calla Lilies. The Calla Lilies were elegant while the size was understated…just like the bride.
