More than anything, I love photographing happiness. If you are planning something magical & a little different, we may be just the right match!

My style is emotional photojournalism rather than posed & perfectly lit studio portraits. Asheville-based, but world-traveled and with an extensive background in documentary film work, I bring a street photography style of interpretation and inspiration to my wedding photography. Traveling light and with very little gear, I shoot primarily with a Canon 6D and a Sony sidekick, always watching for the characters and details that convey the story & mood of the moment.

Hikers, yogis, comic-cons, cosplays, independent thinkers, and offbeat brides & grooms. One love & LGBTQ-friendly.

How I cater to Offbeat Brides

From an Appalachian Gothic wedding to taking the leap on Leap Day, it's all about happiness. I specialize in finding those revealing, quirky and candid moments that together tell the story of your special day in a photojournalist-style.

"We just looked at the photos and they are simply stunning. Like, seriously. stunning. Your use of color, mirrors, space, people, animals, things is SO perfect. I mean, really. I don't think it could have turned out any more perfect. Thank you soooo much. Much love and gratitude, Stacy Lutz-Ovies"

"In a word: Wow! We had a vision for our day that was intangible and indescribable. You completely understood it and rolled with it in a way that seemed like you had read our minds. The photos are beautiful, vibrant and alive, speaking volumes about the two of us and our friends and families. Thank you so much Kristin! We will treasure these moments always." – Raven Sinclaire
