Jubilee Event Engineers
For the past decade, dynamic duo Alex Martin and Kristen Tsiatsios have helped facilitate countless weddings, queer weddings, and all-out hootenanny love hoedowns. Seasoned professionals and savvy gals about town, we are detail-oriented event producers, and we love collaboration.
We'd love to brainstorm, strategize, network and pull off your complex plan without a hitch. We can turn it up to eleven, support your outlandish ideas, bring in the wow factor, or just wrap you in confidence and calm to keep you from going cuckoo on your big day. Whatever you are craving, we have the talent, ingenuity and experience to tailor every detail to your vision and keep you on your budget.
And as if working for our clients isn't enough, we're also magnificent mamas, award-winning dance artists and eco- and social justice- engaged citizen warriors.
"On Saturday I was standing in the field looking back into the building, watching the people dance, the standup bass, the barefoot band — and I realized this was the wedding I'd dreamed of. . . . And so much more. Thank you for making it all possible."

How I cater to Offbeat Brides
We help you invent your wedding out of dreams, fragmented ideas and an intention to tie the knot in your own authentic style. We don’t judge when we hear your zany ideas… we get excited and we get to work. We do queer weddings/civil unions/commitment ceremonies. We do sustainable “green” weddings. We DO.
Are you a creative couple with a theme wedding vision (circus/speakeasy/masquerade/superhero/etc.)? We’re trained as artists; we can finesse the design details and help make the event shine.
Perhaps you’re busy professionals who need someone to do the legwork so you can have a rockin' wedding and stay sane? We do that, too. Or if you just need a "fairy godmother" to keep the scene chill on your wedding day, we’ve got your back — our wedding day coordination package is our most popular service.
Or maybe you are capable DIY-ers and not even sure you need a wedding planner! Want to just bounce your ideas off an expert? We’d love to talk — we offer creative, inspiring, solutions-oriented hourly consultation services.
And we don't represent a network of wedding vendors; when you hire us, we’ll look for solutions that fit your budget and your style — if that includes your friends and family doing catering, decor, music, set-up, photography, the cake, and all the rest, great! If not, even better. We’re constantly researching talented local vendors and we’d love to find the right talents and sources to make your celebration sizzle.
You're only planning this party once… let's do it your way and get it right.
Examples of my work
Previously featured on Offbeat Bride:
- Let Jubilee Event Engineers help you make your wedding the best EVAR
- Melissa & Lydia's intimate island getaway wedding
True stories from our weddings:
- Laura and Rachel's wedding featured on A Bicycle Built for Two.
- Alex and Megan's circus theme wedding with palm reading, Elvis sightings, aerial performance, fresh local ice cream cones, a bluegrass band and all out old-time Americana fun.
- An extravagant masquerade ball at one of Seattle’s premier theatres with The Princess Bride playing in the background and a handmade Fimo caketopper made by the bride fashioned after the happy couple.
- Think Pacific Northwest acreage nestled next to National Forest. Normally, it houses a general construction company and a family home. For this two bride wedding it was transformed into a Northwest forest wedding playground. Our favorite details: a salvaged timber ceremony trellis to hold the chuppah handmade by Dad & Mom, tractor rides up the mountain to the ceremony site, terrariums made from freshly harvested forest flora, a DIY valet service with Dad’s construction crew working the event, an impromptu conga line back up the mountain to party under the chuppah and a chauffeured golf cart for me (the wedding coordinator) to zip up and down the hills of the venue. Yippee!
- A kazoo-riffic wedding parade through the rainy streets of Seattle from the church to a ballroom lit by 100s of vintage candlesticks… later on, the bride and groom danced through the party carrying sparkler-bedecked wedding pies overhead.
- Tractor rides over the bride’s family ranchland in the foothills of Mount Rainier, and a gourmet wild-west party (including bull riding on a mechanical bull parked next to the old apple trees)
- A wedding day morning game of Ultimate Frisbee in the glowing green fields of Whidbey Island… followed by an outdoor local organic feast replete with pirate-themed toasts and a cadre of eager photographers (the children of all the wedding guests) ages 6-15.
