Jonas Seaman
Hi Offbeat Brides! My name is is Jonas! You can check out some examples of my wedding work below or on my portfolio and blog.
I grew up in Hollywood. My parents kept a darkroom in the house. It was a tiny claustrophobic closet that smelled like chemicals. It's there that I was first introduced to image making. When I was eighteen I moved out to the Pacific Northwest. I find myself craving coffee and rain so it's a perfect fit.
In 2008 I started a photo-blog called Americanvirus as a creative outlet and personal diary. I bought my first digital camera and started posting my photographs. Soon my work was invited to be on exhibit as art installations in galleries throughout Europe and Los Angeles. My photos started being used internationally for everything from rock n' roll bands to ad campaigns.
The best part was when I started receiving emails to the blog from people who wondered if I would be interested in capturing their wedding day. I'm overjoyed that a bride and groom would want me to be the one to make a record of what is probably one of the most important days of their lives. Wedding photography has now become my personal work. I believe in love, and I can't tell you how much it means to me to know that it is my images a couple will be holding when looking back upon their day in years to come.
My wedding photography has been published in Seattle Bride Magazine, as well as on numerous blogs and websites including Green Wedding Shoes, Snippet & Ink, Rock N' Roll Bride, Hi-Fi Weddings, A Practical Bride and of course, Offbeat Bride! Actually, Offbeat Bride was the first blog to ever take an interest in my work! In a way, it's the wedding blog that most feels like home to me. I love Offbeat Brides!
If you're interested in learning more, check out my website or check out the stories on my blog. If you like what I'm doing, I'm sure we'll work well together. It's as easy as that! I'm open for bookings anywhere in the United States. I love to travel!
Now, it's your turn. How'd you meet? What made you fall in love? And what do you have planned so far for your wedding day? Let's start talking!
