John Barone Photography

Hey guys, thanks for checking in. Here’s a bit of info on who I am….

I began my photography career in 2000. Back then I was shooting for publications like Philadelphia Magazine and Philadelphia Style, editorial clients like The Red Cross, commercial fashion clients like Urban Outfitters, and several advertising agencies. Nowadays I apply much of what I learned over the years to my boutique wedding business. At the heart of my work is lighting. I’ve developed a very unique style that I feel sets me apart from the pack and has helped me to continually win awards season after season.

Another unique service carried over from my fashion world is my B&W Fashion Set. It’s my spin on a photo booth. We build a basic fashion set, off to the side at your reception, where guests can get portraits throughout the night. Some are serious and some are fun. It’s a really great feature and the guests love it. It’s included at no extra charge in most of my packages, where time allows. There are samples on my website under B&W Fashion Set.

So there ya have it. That should be enough to get your feet wet. A meeting is the next best step to see if we’re a good fit for each other.

How I cater to Offbeat Brides

All style aside, my couples are my friends. I don't do well with a cold client/vendor relationship. We'll have fun. That's key. Your caterer or florist don't have to be someone you like because they do their job behind the scenes.

Your photographer is with you all day so they really should be someone you can connect with. I start many of my meetings by offering up one of my homebrews, because your photographer should be someone you'd want to grab a beer with. Let's keep it fun and informal. That's what works for me. I've become close friends with dozens of my couples and we still hang out years after the wedding.

"John was one of the first vendors we met and we booked him the same night we met him. I remember my husband and I looked at each other and said 'he's the one'. He told us when we left that night that his goal was to be our easiest vendor to work with – he was that and SO much more!" – James & Kristen Fox
