Eclectic Unions by Celebrant Jessie Blum
Eclectic Unions is committed to creating personal and unique ceremonies! Your wedding ceremony is the key element and centerpiece of your whole wedding celebration, and I work closely with my couples to create a ceremony that truly reflects who you and your partner are, and your love and commitment for each other. All traditions, religions, backgrounds, and life choices are honored and accepted. Together, we will create your ideal ceremony – and I promise it will be touching, funny, and a special moment that you, your family and friends will remember forever.
As a wedding officiant and certified Life-Cycle Celebrant®, I am passionate about creating original and beautiful ceremonies.
Words cannot express how awesome Jessie is! She put together the most warm, unique, and personal ceremony for us – from the personal details she included, it seemed as if an old and dear friend was marrying us. She is amazing, and I recommend her highly. Every time I think about our ceremony, I still smile. – Jessica and Brad

How I cater to Offbeat Brides
Want to include rituals in your wedding ceremony that feel authentic and real for you? We can incorporate sand ceremonies, unity candles, wine ceremonies, or handfastings into your wedding. But why stop there? Want to do a beer sharing ceremony, or a chocolate and wine sharing ritual? A unity cocktail or ring warming that incorporates your guests? Your ceremony should reflect who you and your partner are, and together we can take your vision and make it into reality. I love creating new and original rituals, modernizing and updating traditional elements, or just helping you to find the perfect vows, readings, or words that feel just right for you. My couples are the most creative people I know!
Examples of my work
Previously featured on Offbeat Bride:
Other examples:
- Jessica and Max had a beer sharing ceremony, and a reading from Charles Darwin in their wedding ceremony!
- Sandy and Jay were married at a historic prison museum in an awesome, 1940s themed gangster wedding — and they were featured on Offbeat Bride, too!
- Heidi and Ryan were married in a beautiful ceremony that celebrated her Jewish culture and his Trinidadian background, as well as their own personal love and commitment to each other.
- Lisa and Quinn were married in his parent's backyard, and had a beautiful handfasting, a butterfly release to represent the loved ones who were no longer with us, and a wishing stone ceremony.
- Ingrid and Elan had a community lead unity candle ceremony – each guest passed the light through the room, before the couple lit their candles at the front. They also had a foot washing ceremony, to represent how they would always be humble before each other, as a sign of respect, and to represent the life of service that they vowed to share together.
