I'm a wedding DJ who specializes in couples looking to put a unique spin on their reception. While most wedding DJs use similar sets for every party they do, mine are tailor-made for each one individually based on your suggestions. Most of all, this is about you, and I take great pleasure in discussing and pinning down all the elements you want for your wedding soundtrack — while still being affordable.

I've been DJing for my whole life and am well-versed in many different types of music. In particular, my services are great for couples who LOVE music and are into their tastes being vividly represented at their wedding. I spin indie, alternative, hip-hop, synthpop, top 40, funk, disco, and many more, and am happy to work with you on getting the perfect blend of your favorites.

How I cater to Offbeat Brides

My entire aesthetic is geared towards couples that want their wedding to be an experience like a night out seeing their favorite DJ — but where they actually talked to the DJ ahead of time and got in all their requests. As a person who has been to plenty of weddings where the DJ was sub-par and kind of annoying, I got into this business to provide an outlet for anyone else out there who has felt the same way, and didn't want their wedding compromised by a run-of-the-mill wedding DJ.

“I’ve told so many people since then that Doug was literally the best decision we made in planning the entire reception. He made our wedding celebration feel like OUR wedding celebration and I can’t tell you what that means to both of us.” – Alison and Anthony Baus

Examples of my work

I have done several weddings over the past three years. At one wedding in particular, I finished the night playing "All My Friends" by LCD Soundsystem, which inspired the crowd to form a circle around the couple, ending with the party raising the bride and groom above their shoulders.

At another wedding, a person from the party dropped to the ground and breakdanced when I played "Scenario" by A Tribe Called Quest. There was another wedding where I ended the night with "November Rain" by Guns N' Roses, where the bride and groom had a romantic slow dance.

And another where everyone jumped around to Fugazi, Beastie Boys, and the Smiths. But overall, every wedding I do features a set where people get excited by the music. The type of thing where people cheer when they hear a song start — that happens at every gig I do.
